Hi Michael,

I am forwarding this to you for your info, as you may have some inquiries today and in the near future.

I am contact with the CPSC about their intentions for drop sides in the future, because their lack of clarity around the issue has sent the press whirling.  I'll let you know what I find out.
In the meantime, in addition to the response I have forwarded to you below, I have also mentioned the following to some customers who are asking:

Don't worry, the recall does not affect your crib in any way.  The cribs recalled were manufactured by Storkcraft, and use a very different drop-side mechanism than ours.  The press is referring to all different types of drop sides as  a single group, but that really isn't accurate.

The guy from the CPSC who did our last on-site inspection said to me this morning on the phone, " Oh no, your mechanism is not like the one that is being recalled.  Your cribs are not affected."

I hope that helps you in fielding your inbox.

Best,
Alexis
